This Privacy Policy explains how Watson's Equity Research Terminal (the "Service"), operated by Noah Watson ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects information about visitors and subscribers. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

We collect a limited amount of information necessary to operate the Service:

• Email addresses you voluntarily submit through the newsletter subscribe form.
• Access codes you enter to unlock premium AI analysis features (validated server-side; not associated with personal identity).
• Usage data such as the tickers you query, view-mode preference, and feature usage patterns. Some preferences are stored in your browser via cookies and localStorage; aggregated usage may be logged server-side.
• Technical data automatically collected by our hosting provider, including IP address, user agent, request timestamps, and referring URL — used for security, rate limiting, and debugging.

3. How We Use Information

• To operate and maintain the Service, including caching financial data and computing valuations.
• To enforce rate limits on free-tier features and prevent abuse.
• To send weekly market or research updates if you have subscribed to our newsletter (you can unsubscribe at any time).
• To improve the Service through aggregated, non-identifying analytics.
• To respond to support inquiries.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

The Service uses first-party cookies and localStorage for essential functionality such as preserving your view-mode preference, watchlist tickers, and rate-limit counters. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. You can clear cookies and local storage at any time via your browser settings; doing so will reset your preferences.

5. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers to function. Each handles data subject to their own privacy policies:

• Vercel — hosting and edge infrastructure.
• Yahoo Finance & Financial Modeling Prep — market and fundamentals data.
• Anthropic — Claude API for AI-generated analysis. Prompts may include the ticker, fundamentals, and other public data necessary to generate the response. We do not transmit your email or other identifying information to Anthropic.
• Logo and asset providers (Clearbit, Logo.dev, Google favicons) — used to display company logos.

6. Data Retention

We retain email addresses for as long as you remain subscribed, and then delete them on your unsubscribe request. Server logs, rate-limit counters, and aggregated usage data are retained for as long as reasonably necessary for security, debugging, and product improvement, typically no longer than twelve months.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to withdraw consent for processing. To exercise these rights, contact noah@watsons.ai.

9. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. International Visitors

The Service is operated from the United States. By using the Service from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer of your information to the U.S. and its processing under applicable U.S. law.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
